It was in the year 1848 that the 23 year old Louis Brandt founded his watch company in La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland. And it is from here that he had started assembling key-wound precision pocket watches using parts that were supplied to him by local craftsmen. Since then, there has been no stopping the advancement of the model and make of the Omega watch. Today, the Omega watch has grown so much in recognition that just its endorsement is a matter of prestige for world personalities.
